MBJ Airports Limited has welcomed the inaugural flight of United Airlines from Denver, Colorado, USA to Montego Bay, Jamaica at the Sangster International Airport (SIA). This new flight arrived at 3:40pm on Saturday, November 4, 2023. It will operate once weekly providing travellers with a convenient and reliable connection between the West Coast of the United States and the pristine shores of Montego Bay.

The decision had been made within the framework of their Safety Management Systems, designed to prioritize the safety of all operations.
MBJ Airports Limited, the operator of the Sangster International Airport (SIA), advises that flight operations at SIA are back to normal. Some airlines are operating extra flights to accommodate passengers who were affected by the disruption in operations yesterday.

With the last three months, from April to June, showing gains above 10% over 2022, the 2023 summer season is anticipated to record an increase in passenger traffic. The traffic recorded for the last three months represent the highest number of arriving and departing passengers in history at SIA, with over 400,000 total passengers per month. This trend is expected to continue into July and August, resulting in high passenger traffic volume throughout the terminal and airport.
MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA – May 22, 2023 – Ultra-low fare carrier Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: ULCC) launched nonstop service today from Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay (MBJ) to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
